League Levels

Finding the right division to place your child can be confusing.

Here is a general primer on the appropriate division for your child. However, baseball ability and maturity will be among the final determinants.

Farm Division A (Ages 5 to 6) - Cost: $50.00
Typically Saturday Noon Time

An introduction to baseball.  Beginners are welcome.  No game scores or records are kept.  Teams are only used as means to organize the kids and the activities.  The league provides each player with a team jersey and team cap.  Players are required to provide a glove and other sports oriented clothing. Cleats are optional.

All events at Lindstrom Field, next to the Morse School.

Farm Division B (Ages 6 to 8) - Cost: $50.00

Typically Wednesday Evening & Saturday Afternoons
Very similar to Farm A with a focus on improving skills to prepare for minors and competitive play.  Skill work and skill games take up the majority of the session.  Practice usually ends with an informal game.

All events at Lindstrom Field, next to the Morse School.

Minors (Ages 8 to 10) - Cost: $85.00
Typically Monday & Thursday Evenings (plus occasional other practices)

An introduction to competitive baseball. Beginners are welcome, but an evaluation is required for team placement. Scores and records are kept. Two or three games per week. One practice per week (field and batting practice).  Playoff and All-Star games will be held at the end of the season.

Team formation: Players are selected by coaches during a draft. Team/player requests can be honored when possible. The league provides each player with a team jersey and team cap.  Players are required to provide a glove and other sports oriented clothing. Cleats are recommended.

Majors (Ages 10 to 12) - Cost: $85.00
Typically Tuesday & Friday Evenings (plus occasional other practices)

A competitive division. Beginners are welcome, but an evaluation is required for team placement. Scores and records are kept. Two or three games per week. One or two practices per week (field and batting practice). Some Interleague games are played against other leagues in Cambridge. Playoff and All-Star games will be held at the end of the season.
